Regional Business Development Manager – Based Dubai, UAE – Salary c. £65 – 80k plus comm.

Global health insurer requires a Regional Business Development Manager who will be responsible for representing the brand across the agreed part of region; including delivering sales targets, overseeing all business development activities and coordinating its global distribution model as well as ensuring operational excellence is maintained.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Global Business Development in establishing and executing the commercial strategy
  • Delivery of annual sales targets by region and distribution channel
  • Establish and maintain direct responsibility for the Company’s own global sales & distribution network
  • Oversee the relationship with all current and future internal and external distribution channels
  • Oversee the relationship with all independent distribution channels (brokers/consultants/alternative distribution)
  • Develop appropriate metrics and KPIs to monitor effectiveness of all business development initiatives
  • Manage relationship with local/regional insured business ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained
  • Assist in the management of local relationships within the region to ensure that they are maintained, SLAs are met, policyholders are fully supported, issues are resolved and overall service excellence is maintained
  • Represent the Company at global and local market events, conferences etc.

Skills and requirements:

  • Role will be based in Dubai and there will be a requirement for national and International travel
  • Degree calibre
  • A recognised qualification in Sales & Marketing management is preferred
  • Preferably 5 years’ experience at Sr level in an international Health insurance company
  • Demonstrable track record of successful achievements in developing IPMI portfolios at global and regional level
  • Demonstrable experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders (both internal and external) ensuring positive “win/win” outcomes
  • Demonstrable network of business contacts among all key IPMI distributors at global and regional level (brokers/consultants/MGAs/etc.)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills
